A thoughtfully designed “Mushroom Learning Trail” set within an existing mountain forest, where the zoning of fungal species is carefully organized according to their natural habitats. The landscape design follows an organic circulation that allows easy and intuitive access, gently guiding visitors through diverse ecological zones while preserving the integrity of the original forest.
The pathway is delicately aligned to avoid all existing trees, respecting root systems and maintaining the natural forest floor. A series of subtle interventions—including a softly integrated stream—enhance humidity and microclimatic conditions, supporting the growth of fungi while enriching the sensory experience along the trail.
Throughout the journey, the atmosphere is curated to evoke immersion and discovery, using light-touch materials, filtered light, and natural textures. Every design decision prioritizes coexistence with the existing ecosystem, allowing the forest—and its hidden fungal networks—to remain undisturbed, while transforming the trail into a seamless educational and experiential landscape.
